Wolfskuil Records is a new label, based in Nijmegen (the Netherlands). Releases will be firmly based on funky techno, but there will always be room for experimentation and noises from unexpected zones in the musical universe.

Swedish studiowizard Håkan Lidbo is responsible for Wolfskuil Records’ second release. Some people call him the busiest man in the music industry, wich is probably right considering his discography of over 120 titles. His music ranges from avant-gardist underground click house to cheesy vocal pop and everything in between & beyond. So expect the unexpected on ‘4 Easy Pieces’!

Håkan’s musical kaleidoscope starts with ‘Chevrolet’. A minimal and manic monster wich will warp the dancefloor into hyperspace. ‘The Rhubarb Man’ takes things a bit easier. The jazzy, fusion-esque feel of this track, with a touch of Detroit, takes you to more esotheric realms. Let’s say something to calm down your brain after a night of heavy clubbing.
The other side opens with ‘Magnaplan’ wich combines deep African drum beats with contemporary minimal house music. Only the deaf and crippled won’t move to this groove! To complete ‘4 easy pieces’ the EP offers a bizarre climax with ‘Crash Test Mummies’. Welcome into Håkan’s twisted world! To be continued...
