WOLFSKUIL RECORDS is a new label, based in Nijmegen (the Netherlands). Releases will be firmly based on funky techno, but there will always be room for experimentation and noises from unexpected zones in the musical universe.

‘The Way things Appear..’ by Joris Voorn is the first release on Wolfskuil Records. Joris Voorn (Rotterdam) started producing at the end of 2000 after he bought his first synthesizer.
Now, three years later, he released 4 records on imprints such as Keynote records, Line and EC Records . His records were picked up by DJ's like Charles Siegling [technasia], Carl Craig, Funk d'void and C1. Joris Voorn is without a doubt one of the biggest talents to emerge from the Dutch scene.

The A-side of ‘The Way things Appear..’ opens with the percussive grooves and catchy hooks of ‘Destiny’ . This track is Joris at his best: a sexy duet between firm dancefloor rythms and warm, melancholic melodies in a way rarely seen. The second track ‘Destiny Dub’ adds some house flavours to the original using vocals and deep strings. The mesmerizing flow will put a spell on any dancefloor.
The flipside shows Joris Voorn’s love for Detroit electro with the carefully arranged ‘Addict’. It is a complex layered, yet instant floorfiller. This track can just as easily be used in a techno- as wel as an electro-set, because it combines the best of both worlds. The Acid Dub version of the original sees Joris losing control in a TB303 frenzy.
